Macedonia, Ohio – Trexon, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, announced the appointment of Mark Twaalfhoven to the position of President and CEO, effective June 13, 2022.

Mark Twaalfhoven has an extensive technology and operations background, and was most recently the CEO of Pulse Electronics, where he led significant enhancement and expansion of the company.  Prior to that, he served as CEO of Teleplan International, currently known as Reconext, a company servicing electronic devices.  He also led the development of Amphenol in Asia as well as the computer and communication devices markets.  Twaalfhoven holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

Macedonia, Ohio – Jan. 4, 2022 – Trexon, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Power Connector Inc. (“PCI”), a leading supplier of Tactical Communications interconnect for military applications.  Founded in 1987 and based in Suffolk County, NY, PCI is a Defense Logistics Agency QPL manufacturer of MIL-DTL-55181 and MIL-DTL-55116 connectors.  Designed into hand-held and mounted radio systems, PCI’s power connectors, audio connectors and other interconnect components complement Trexon’s existing specialty connectivity offerings for mission critical applications.  PCI’s commitment to excellence and innovation is demonstrated by its high performance equipment, stringent quality standards, and skillful, dedicated employees.

Founded in 1955 and based in Boston, Massachusetts, FEC has grown to be the leading supplier of electrical wiring harnesses, specializing in the production of over-molded, extra-flexible, multi-conductor, EMI-shielded cable assemblies and harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies custom-built for military applications.
