Boston, MA – April 26th, 2024 – Trexon, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity and a leading provider of specialty connectivity solutions for mission-critical applications, announced today that it successfully completed the acquisition of CR Encapsulation Ltd. (“CRE”). Headquartered in Aberdeen Scotland, CRE specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of subsea connectivity solutions in the marine, manned and unmanned underwater vehicle, renewables, and oil and gas markets. This acquisition underscores Trexon’s persistent dedication to broadening its footprint in the subsea domains.
Through the deal, Trexon is broadening its range of subsea connector, wire and cable solutions, as well as hull penetrators, junction boxes, and subsea termination solutions.
Regarding the addition of CRE, Mark Twaalfhoven, President, and CEO of Trexon stated:
